As I sit here typing I am looking out the window and looking at snow. That’s right folks, it’s not even November and I am already faced with snow. The only good thing about this weather is that it has warmed up considerably. Another good thing is, is that this snow won’t stay. This is supposed to turn into rain sometime tonight. So all the rain will definitely get rid of any snow that lingers. Snow, this time of year?? Really??
Although it’s only the middle of October, it kind of feels like the middle of January. For the past few days we have been experiencing some really cold temperatures. The kids have had to school every morning dressed as though they are entering a blizzard. And as I sit her typing, I am all wrapped up in a blanket. Yes, I understand that winter will be here soon and we will be getting a lot more colder temperatures than we are currently seeing, I just wish that we weren’t experiencing it now.
I’m not a very big person and never have been. But…. I’m really small now and it’s starting to take a serious toll on my over all health. Last week I went to see my doctor and when he weighed me, he informed me that I am now down to 88 lbs. I didn’t do this on purpose. I swear. My doctor claims that my ideal weight for my height is 110 lbs. Well as you can see I’m no wear near this number. He also informed me that if I don’t gain weight soon, or lose any more he will be admitting me to the hospital to build me up. Since I don’t want that to happen I am now on a mission to gain weight. Hopefully I can gain a pound or two before I see him again. But…. it’s going to be a long….. journey.
Man I can’t believe that it’s October already. That means I only have a couple months to get all my Christmas shopping done. And…. I haven’t even started! Seriously, it only seems like we finished with Christmas a couple of months ago and here we are almost getting ready for Thanksgiving. It won’t be too much longer before the big day will arrive. So I guess I will need to get off my rump and start the Christmas shopping here pretty soon. I just wish I had a bit more time.
Well yesterday I experienced an extremely crappy day. I suffered (and yes, I suffered) with a massive headache all day. Normally when I take a couple of extra strength Advil the headache will eventually go away. But not yesterday. I eventually had to shut my computer down and go lay down for an hour and a half. But that didn’t even work. Honestly the only thing that did work was going to be at 9:00 pm with more Advil in me. When I woke up this morning the headache was gone, but I am now starting to feel it coming back. So I guess I’m going to get off this computer real quick before I end up suffering once again like I did yesterday.
This past weekend at work was brutal! We have four different reservations for three different days and I am now played right out. We were so busy that I wasn’t able to get a small break to eat. But all the customers got fed and were happy so I guess that’s all that counts. I really hope that I don’t have to put in another weekend like this for a very long time. But in the restaurant business, you just never know. But thankfully it’s all over now and I have all day today and tomorrow to recuperate.
Well as you can all see, I’m back!!! I know it’s been a long while since I’ve posted in here but unfortunately real life got in the way. Life these days has slowed down quite a bit so I do plan on visiting in here more frequently.
Just a quick run down of all that’s been happening:
Both kids finished school and did wonderfully. After a long…. summer vacation (lots of fighting) they are both back in school. My young fellow is in grade 4 and my daughter is in grade 6. I went back to work at my restaurant job so I haven’t had a whole lot of time to post. But with the craziness finally starting to settle down, I decided that I do in fact now have the time to revise this blog.
So it’s great to see you all again and I look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.
