Report cards

The kids brought home their report cards and both did quite well. My son did really well with all A’s and B’s and even his behaviour has improved quite a bit. My daughter did very well as well, but she was totally not impressed with her tech mark. In tech she only got a C and man…. was she mad. She claims that the teacher is a hard marker and very picky and this is why she got such a low mark. Maybe he is?? But at least she passed the class and now doesn’t have to take it for the rest of the year. All her other classes were super so I told her not to worry about it. She’s still mad though and I don’t know if she will ever forgive this particular teacher. lol

Santa Clause parade

Saturday night was our annual Santa Clause parade here in our town. I only worked until 2:00 pm so we were able to take the kids to it. What a beautiful night!! It was quite mild out so we didn’t have to stand in the cold to watch the parade. That made the parade even better than it has been in years. There was a lot of floats, lights and music and the kids really enjoyed themselves. At the end of the parade they got to see Santa so they were really impressed with that. Now the entire family is in the mood for Christmas and all it took was one night out at a parade to accomplish this.

Anyone want to buy a car??

I now have a car for sale as over the weekend I purchased myself a new one (well, no new, but new to me). So now I have to sell my old car so I will have some money to pay off my new one. Although I owe quite a bit of money on the new car, I would still rather have it then the old one. So if you know of anyone who is looking for a slightly used 1996 Dodge Stratus, I have one for sale.

Feeling much better

If you read my last post, then you all know that I came down with that dreaded flue. Well after feeling crappy for about four days, I can finally say that I’m on the mend. I’m feeling much better now and am almost 100%. It’s a good thing to. I have so much work around here that I need to get caught up on, that I really don’t have the time to get sick.

So if any one of you is feeling like crap and have the flue, my sympathies are with you. Hope you get over it just as quickly as I did.

Time for a new car

I knew I was probably going to have to purchase a new vehicle this year, but I thought I had at least a couple of months to look for one. Well…. that’s not really the case any longer. Last weekend my husband discovered that my steering rack in my car is shot. And well…. that’s just not safe. And on top of that I need a new exhaust system, new routers and a new strut mount. Because the car is a 96 I really don’t want to poke a whole lot of money into it, so I need to find a new car. So far we have found a couple that might work, it is just taking a little time to decide which one I want to pay for. When I make up my mind, I’ll let you all know.

A long…. week

My husband was given a surprise holiday. Normally he is entitled to four weeks vacation every year, but for some reason his company decided to give him an extra week this year. So that means an extra long… week for me. When my husband is home from work for any length of time, he gets bored and decides to bug me. So for the past couple of days I have been unable to get anything done! Oh well, this will be his last week off this year so I think I can muddle through it. I just wish he had of given me a little more notice of this time off so I could have prepared myself for a very long week.
