Report cards

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

The kids brought home their report cards and both did quite well. My son did really well with all A’s and B’s and even his behaviour has improved quite a bit. My daughter did very well as well, but she was totally not impressed with her tech mark. In tech she only got a C and man…. was she mad. She claims that the teacher is a hard marker and very picky and this is why she got such a low mark. Maybe he is?? But at least she passed the class and now doesn’t have to take it for the rest of the year. All her other classes were super so I told her not to worry about it. She’s still mad though and I don’t know if she will ever forgive this particular teacher. lol

Another snow day

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

I really do wish that winter would end!! Here in our province we are experiencing yet another major snowstorm. So guess what that means. Another day off for the kids. Which also means an extra day of constant fighting in my home.

When I woke up this morning there was not a snowflake in sight and I was pretty upset to see that they cancelled school when it wasn’t even snowing. But, because of the storm warning they wanted to be safe. Well it’s a good thing they cancelled it, it is now snowing so hard, that you can’t even see your hand in front of you. So, I guess the district knew what they were doing. I just hope I can survive the day!

Favorite sight

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

My favorite site in life just has to be when I see that big yellow school bus coming up the road.  Now don’t get me wrong, I love my children to death.  In case your wondering, I have three.  A nineteen year old, an eight year old and a ten year old.  Well the two little ones have a tendency to fight a lot!  This is why I get so happy when I see that big yellow school bus driving up the road.  That means the two little ones are headed out the door for the day and I get a serious break from all the fighting.

Well I’m happy to report that I seen the big yellow school bus this morning.  And after having the two little “darlings” home for seventeen days, this was a most welcome sight.  And the best part about seeing the school bus this morning, was knowing that this is going to be a regular occurrence for a while.   Don’t get me wrong, mind ya, I love the children, but…I also love it when they head out the door.
